Well Europe might be a bit too much as a title but it was Bonn and Berlin in Germany and Amsterdam in Netherlands. This will be followed soon by Portugal in July.
Usually I try to make use of my business trips to lurk around and see what’s interesting to shoot. The variety is big from landscape over architecture to street and the Fuji-X system plays nicely along with all genres which surely depends on the lenses you have.
Bonn is kinda my second home as I studied, worked and lived there for a while and I try to to see things since I’m away more from a photographic aspect and surely there are opportunities. It’s a nice little town not too exciting but not that boring. End of April was a nice time to visit as spring already had marched in and everything was juicy green.
This is the tallest building in Bonn – The Post Tower (162m), a high tech building.
This is the side of the tower and houses at the ground floor the canteen and meeting rooms at the 2nd and 3rd floors.
I would say this is the most second “important” place in Bonn the Beethoven Plaza with the old Post office in the background with people enjoying the sun at the cafe.
Basilica of St. Martin
This is the market place and I would rate it as the “most important” place in Bonn.
With the typical Bratwurst/fries stand at the side (I love Bratwurst especially charcoal grilled the so called Thueringer type).
