Been again in Bonn but this time also in Portugal but that’s another post. I went to the Kunstmuseum (Art Museum) in Bonn, Germany. Should you have a chance to be in Bonn then worth visiting. They always have good exhibitions. This time I specifically looked for geometry, lines, forms and light. Throughout the entire trip I used the 10-24mm lens on my Fuji XT-1 which was really a joy. I shot almost 1000 photos. I recently tend to process the b+w with more intense blacks and reduced brightness. The color versions below are processed a bit differently. I first process the raw in Lightroom, tweak clarity, vibrance and slightly add saturation, apply Thomas Fitzgerald’s sharpening preset with supersharp and if necessary add denoising if shot already in high ISO. Based on the histogramm I may need to adjust exposure shadows and highlights. Actually I tend to reduce highlights always but increase “Lights” and reduce “Darks” in the Tone Curve section. After this I convert in Perfect B+W in b+w with increased details, blacks, whites and reduced brightness. Both processed color and b+w photos I take to Photoshop from LR. Blend both whereby the color version acts as background. Blending mode is set to luminosity. Depending on my gusto I may add a layer mask to lighten a bit the sky. Overall the image becomes darker, more detailed. A mix of HDR like and 3D.
