My first attempt somewhere in August 2015 was a total failure and not one had turned out worth posting. This time all signs also looked not promising, rain and strongish wind. I have still not managed to get a XF 55-200, so my gud ol XC 50-230mm had to perform the show. I decided to go somewhere around f16 and 2-3 sec of shutter speed. The lens has no buttons or whatsoever to change settings which allows easily to forget to switch the OIS of since I’m using a tripod (this is hidden in the menu, I think 5th tab). I decided to use the iphone 6s plus as my remote. Since I was quite far away from the actual happening I just anticipated when they would go up and burst so I pretty much pressed the release continuously (after the 2-3 sec of shutter speed obviously). All worked fine – to good to be true. While I was so concentrated on OIS, remote blabla I missed the ISO…where is that ISO 200 – not in my shots.
Despite all this I think there are still some keepers, so I dare to post them. Enjoy high ISO firework shots.
No fireworks yet but 40 mins to the show low, dens clouds.
I’m sure some details and highlights would/might have worked better with a low ISO but the Fuji performed quite well.
Let me know what you think of high ISO fireworks.
